Michaux Tayloe Chopski GG, ICGA

Michaux has a comprehensive and diverse background in jewelry appraising and has been working and studying in the field of gemstones, fine jewelry, and appraisals since 1994. After graduating from Mary Washington College, she attended the Gemological Institute of America in New York City and was granted the prestigious Graduate Gemologist Diploma in 1998. She continued her studies by completing the American Gem Society's Registered Jeweler course and the Certified Gemologist Appraiser course, all while working in the upscale Virginia Jewelry Market. She became an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers after completing the Core Course in Appraisal Studies Diploma through the University of Maryland in 2002. She went on to pass the J-BAR exam of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee in 2003. Michaux is one of only fifteen Independent Certified Gemologist Appraisers in the United States.
Michaux is a member of the Appraiser's Information Network, American Gem Society, and on the Board of Governors for St. Margaret's School.
